My goal is to create a safe environment for women and children to gain awareness of their individuality, embrace where they are in their life journey, and work towards achieving their intrinsic and extrinsic goals through holistic health practices. This type of yoga is gentle on the body. It focuses on stretching and lengthening muscles while doing a few standing poses and more floor poses. Each pose is carried out with guided instruction. Props may be used to ensure proper posture and alignment.
This type of yoga is vital and restorative for the body. It focuses on relaxation and using props for all poses on the floor. Each pose is carried out with guided instruction. Guided meditation is also incorporated to enhance relaxation.
This type of yoga uses a chair for all poses. Most of the poses are done sitting in a chair, while some are standing using the chair for stability and balance. Props may be used for comfort. Guided meditation is also incorporated to enhance relaxation.
This type of yoga combines both Hatha and Vinyasa practices. Hatha yoga involves the physical body holding poses while using breathing techniques to strengthen the core and openning the mind to self-awareness. Vinyasa yoga uses a sequence of poses that create flow in the practice to help the body transition easily from one pose to the next. Guided meditation is also incorporated to enhance relaxation.
This yoga, for children and teens, focuses on improving mental health and teaching mindful movement. It utilizes the YogaEd. curriculum, which is evidenced-based, and provides lessons tailored for each grade level from kindergarten through twelfth grade.
Utilizing the Yoga Ed. curriculum in combination with the Orton-Gillingham approach (a multi-sensory approach using sight, touch, and movement to teach phonics and the structure of language) provides opportunities for children to calm their mind and focus their attention on learning to read. It also makes learning fun!
Sound healing is a therapy that uses sound and its multiple frequencies to produce vibrations that heal the mind, body, and spirit. It involves getting into a comfortable position, usually lying down on the floor, listening to a guided meditation, and hearing instruments such as crystal quartz singing bowls and tuning forks.
Chakras are energy wheels at different locations of the body, starting from the base of the spine to the crown of your head. These energy wheels stand for specific organs in the body and emotional aspects of the soul and spirit. They spin to keep the body balanced. Sometimes, the chakras can be blocked, underactive, or overactive.A variety of crystals, according to their molecular structure and physical characteristics, can assist in bringing back balance to the chakras of the body.
Reiki is a form of energy healing involving a light and gentle touch to help reduce stress and allow the body to relax. It is an ancient practice from Japan, meaning "universal life energy." It is said to promote one's overall well-being.
Swedish massage is intended for relaxing the body. It consists of using long gliding strokes, kneading, tapping, and friction with light to firm pressure. This massage can be invigorating to the body as well.
Geriatric massage is intended for the elderly. It consists of light touch and gentle strokes on the soft tissues. It promotes stress reduction, blood circulation, and flexibility for the joints. It also can improve muscle strength and the ability to sleep better.
Lymphatic drainage massage involves moving lymphatic fluid to reduce swelling and fluid build-up in the body. It drains excess lymph fluid back to circulation in the body using gentle massage strokes in specific directions. This massage is helps with fatigue, relaxing and reducing stress.
Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils made from plants to help with emotional and physical well-being. Hot stones are made from natural basalt, and they are used on the body to reduce tension, increase circulation, and improve metabolism. Himalayan salt stones help to soften the skin, reduce pain, and decrease muscle inflammation.
This personal fitness training program focuses on women of all ages and fitness levels. It provides fitness programs with corrective exercises and workouts for women at all stages of life. It includes coaching to help women reach their intrinsic and extrinsic goals.
